Game Development with VR & AR – 1st Edition

BIP Title: Game Development with VR & AR

  • Goals and description (6000 characters):

The „Game Development with VR & AR” course provides an immersive experience in developing cutting-edge virtual and augmented reality applications using industry-standard tools and technologies. By focusing on C# programming, 3D modeling, and game development frameworks like Unity, students will learn to create fully interactive, 3D games and applications that leverage the power of VR and AR technologies. This course is designed for students who are eager to explore the possibilities of virtual and augmented realities and pursue careers in the booming fields of immersive technology. The course is structured in four main modules, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Students will work through practical examples, guided projects, and industry-leading tools to gain a deep understanding of game development in VR and AR environments.

  • Methods and  Outcomes (up to 6000 characters)

Methods: The course comprises two parts: virtual and face-to-face (physical week at Cracow University of Technology in June 2026). The virtual part contains 9 weeks of lectures and simple, practical exercises (mutual and individual work during the lectures). During the physical week, the students will work individually or in small international teams (2-3 persons). Challenges will be defined each morning to verify and improve their skills after the online lectures.

Learning Outcomes: Students will develop interactive VR/AR applications using Unity, integrating AR frameworks and 3D assets, while applying key game development tools such as Unity, ARKit, ARCore, Oculus SDK, and C# scripting. They will also gain experience collaborating in international, cross-functional teams to create immersive VR/AR projects.
